Restoring
Heritage
For Generations
To Come

At Walsh Heritage, we restore history back to life - one window or door at a time. We're dedicated to craftmanship that honours the past while protecting your property for generations to come. Experts in traditional timber doors and windows, we specialise in the restoration and fitting of heritage doors and windows.

Expert Restoration Services

Heritage restoration demands an uncompromising respect and understanding of historical craftsmanship. Every joint and every finish is meticulously assessed and treated with period-accurate techniques.

Whether you're restoring a 200 year old window sash or door with first-growth timber or replacing a rotted window sash, understanding how everything is made is vital for your doors and windows to last for generations to come.

Original sash windows and doors give your property that unique character and charm. But without proper care, they can end up rotted and letting in unwanted cold, noise and pollution.

Our passion is to not only bring them back to their former glory, but also to make sure they're draught proof and energy efficient for your home.

Guardians of History

Walsh Heritage navigated the complex historical registry regulations with absolute mastery. Their care for our family's legacy was profound. We are endlessly relieved to have found them.

Owner, The Hill House Estate

I was terrified of the restoration process ruining the integrity of our 19th-century stonework. Their team restored it flawlessly while handling all the bureaucratic red tape. Truly prestigious work.

Their artisans possess a rare reverence for the past. From the meticulous woodwork to securing the necessary municipal approvals, Walsh Heritage was the guardian our estate needed.

Walsh Heritage Philosophy

Restore Before Replace

Our philosophy is to restore first, and to replace second. Your windows and doors have lasted 150 years or more and using first growth timber - the same timber used in your doors and windows - they can enjoy a new lease of life for centuries to come.

We source our first growth timber from salvaged timber across the country. This timber is as good as the day it went in and it's what we use to restore your heritage sash windows and doors.

This saves you not only time in getting your windows and doors repaired, it also save you a boatload of money in the process.

Only when things have gone beyond restoration would we look to replace what's there. When we do, it matches the specifications exactly.

Leave It To Last Another 100+ Years

Your heritage doors and windows have lasted 100, 150 or 200 years or more, and our aim with every restoration is that they last for another 100 years or longer.

Using the same time honoured techniques from yesteryear that have allowed your heritage doors and windows to last this long, they will last well past our lifetime and be there for generations to come to enjoy.
